Green Party Spring Gathering – Online

Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 7 PM – 9 PM on Zoom

The Green Party of Washington State will hold our Spring Gathering to consider proposals and to accept nominations for our Coordinating Council and GPUS delegations.

Agenda:

7 PM – Statewide organizing

8 PM – Nominate Green Party members for open positions on the GPWA Coordinating Council and GPUS delegation

You may nominate members for these positions until the close of the Spring Gathering. In making nominations, members should strive for diversity in as many areas as possible, including but not limited to race, gender, and geography.


All Green Party members will be invited to vote for the Coordinating Council and GPUS delegation. Voting will be conducted via online ballot and administered by OpaVote.


Please check your membership status before the meeting. If your membership has lapsed, you can renew it here.

Join us in Seattle for a screening of the new documentary film, “Seeds for Liberation,” by director Matthew Solomon (“Reimagining Safety”)

The new documentary from Matthew Solomon & Donna Hadjikhani (“Reimagining Safety”), and Alana Hadid, highlights the Free Palestine movement and its connections to Black, Chicano, and collective liberation. Featuring some of the biggest names in the movement, from Palestine to Stop Cop City, “Seeds for Liberation” is both powerful and inspiring, spanning decades of solidarity and culminating in reflections on what liberation and a free Palestine truly mean.

Don Fitz (Green Party of St. Louis) will review actions to resist pesticides, PCBs, and other poisons.

Barbara Laxon (Green Party of Pennsylvania) will describe problems of the oil and gas industry, including leaking injection wells.

Philena Farley (Green Party of Ohio) will look at the nuclear industry, especially its toxic waste.

Alice Green (Green Party of Washington State) will explain the dangers of food additives, PFAS, and other endocrine-disrupting chemicals.

Our Freedom Can’t Wait!

This Saturday, May 3rd at 2 pm at the Everett Downtown Public Library, PSL will be hosting a public screening & discussion of a lecture from Our Freedom Can’t Wait: a course on the Black liberation struggle.

 

Now is the time to come together to learn from history how we’ve fought back before and won all the rights we have today. This is not just a history lesson but a workshop; we immerse ourselves in the history of the Black liberation struggle, not as spectators but as participants in building a better world.

Climate Community Night: Migrant Justice is Climate Justice

Come together to eat, build community, and take action together.

On May 8th, you and yours are invited to join us to learn more about the relationship between climate justice and migrant justice, hear about efforts underway by our community partners to protect immigrant rights, and discover resources you can use and actions you can take in the months and years ahead.
