ECOLOGY

Champion the rights of nature

Support community action to limit climate change and protect the natural environment

Continue monitoring and lobbying for the cleanup of contaminated sites including Hanford and the Duwamish River

Oppose the development and distribution of fracked gas, LNG (liquid natural gas with methane), coal, and oil  

Recognize and honor Native American cultures and traditions in caring for the earth 

SOCIAL AND RACIAL JUSTICE

Ensure public safety; defund police and overhaul the criminal justice system; invest in Black and Indigenous community organizations; abolish the death penalty

Support Safe Schools for All Students

Support housing justice

Reform our state’s regressive tax structure; institute fair corporate tax programs

Protect workers’ rights; support cooperatives, fair trade practices, and unionization

Establish state-wide, fully-funded, free public education through college; build alternative schooling options

Support state-wide, single-payer universal healthcare; ensure women’s reproductive rights and healthcare for all

Stand up for immigrant rights and oppose discriminatory legislation

Support public utilities, schools, transportation, and communication networks/broadband

Establish publicly-owned banks for government funds

Replace winner-takes-all elections with ranked choice voting (RCV), preferential voting, proportional representation, and other alternative voting systems; establish a progressive alliance; open the debates
