All wars begin with lies, and the lies serve to conceal the real motives for war. Government motives for mass killing (war) include war machine profits, geopolitics, and plundering of resources. As the general population uncovers the real reasons for the war, government propaganda becomes less effective, which leads to growing dissent and repression of dissent.
Currently over 61% of people polled (according to CNN) no longer want weapons sent to continue the proxy war in Ukraine. The U.S. government has begun to use repressive measures against anti-war groups. In our webinar, you will hear from dissenters and from those who have witnessed and experienced repression. It is in the interest of all of us to support dissenters and expose and support those who have been harmed by repressive measures. We welcome your participation in this webinar and your support of the right to dissent.

- Akile Anai — Akilé Anai is Director of the Department of Agitation and Propaganda of the African People’s Socialist Party, guiding a multi-platform media operation.
- Jeremy Kuzmarov — Managing Editor, Covert Action Magazine. Jeremy has broad editorial responsibility for Covert Action magazine and edits, fact checks content.
- Diego Motta — Attorney and member of the leadership of the organization “Izquierda Socialista de Peru.” He is also a neighborhood leader in the district of Carabayllo, Lima.
- Rev. Keyanna Jones — Keyanna Jones is a Political and Social Justice Activist and Community Organizer, who is a staunch advocate for quality, affordable childcare, and equity in education.
- Cheri Honkala— Cheri Honkala is a nationally renowned advocate for the poor and homeless and is the founder of the Poor People’s Army. She was the Green Party VP candidate in 2012.
- Rita Jacobs – Moderator. Rita is a retired lawyer, an antiwar activist, and monetary reform activist.
