With 10 union locals and over 400 rank-and-file workers endorsing the Kshama Solidarity Campaign, the best fighters in Seattle’s labor movement are organizing against the right-wing recall attempt of socialist Councilmember Kshama Sawant. This struggle has national implications, from the “Bamazon” organizing drive in Bessemer, Alabama to the fight for a $15 an hour minimum wage and the attempt to pass the union-supported PRO Act legislation.
Sara Nelson, International President of the Association of Flight Attendants (CWA), is one of the many labor leaders across the world who stand in solidarity with Kshama. This forum will discuss both the importance of the campaign against the right-wing recall and address the urgent questions facing the labor movement. Please join Sara, Kshama, and hundreds of other union siblings and activists for a timely discussion on how we can defeat the right-wing and the billionaire class in Seattle, nationally, and worldwide.
