Please join us for a Q & A/discussion session of the Whole Washington Trust universal health care program – the first of its kind in the United States – with Whole Washington board member Cindy Jacobs. Cindy will present a quick history of Whole Washington’s initiative and legislative activity from 2018 through the current month along with a summary of ongoing plans for establishing the Whole Washington Trust, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.
Cindy will also talk about
-the funding mechanisms used in the bill,
-the transition part of the legislation which allows Washington residents to begin using the program before federal waivers are granted, and
-how Whole Washington was able to get the Department of Revenue and the Employment Securities Department to vet the bill for ease of implementation with their existing systems.
