Wednesday Workshop #4
Harm Reduction: State Violence is a Universal Truth

The state perpetuates violence on its citizens in failing to legislate for equitable access to housing, healthcare, childcare, education, and beyond. The state carceral system then punishes individuals and families who fall through the cracks of our broken systems leading to a wide array of generational traumas.

In this fourth of Wednesday workshops, Sherae and friends will explore this transmission of political agendas onto the body and why representation of those who are most impacted, and legislation by those who are most impacted by state violence is not only necessary, but is a matter of life and death for those who live outside of the upper echelons of privilege in this state.

Format:
This workshop will begin with a discussion with Sherae and Friends, followed by an opportunity for question and answer.

Accessibility:
We aim to make this a more accessible space; please contact the organizers to share how we can make this workshop more welcoming and accessible to you!
